2:16 - "scribe of" - Some manuscripts scribes and

2:22 - Some manuscripts omit but new wine is for fresh skins

3:2 - "Jesus" - Greek him
3:32 - "your brothers" - Other early manuscripts add and your sisters

4:17 - "fall away" - Or stumble

5:1 - "Gerasenes" - Some manuscripts Gergesenes; some Gadarenes
5:2 - "Jesus" - Greek he; also verse 9
5:15 - "demon-possessed" - Greek daimonizomai; also verses 16, 18; elsewhere rendered oppressed by demons
5:17 - "Jesus" - Greek him
5:36 - "overhearing" - Or ignoring; some manuscripts hearing
5:38 - "Jesus" - Greek he

6:9 - "tunics" - Greek chiton, a long garment worn under the cloak next to the skin
6:14 - "Jesus'" - Greek his
6:14 - "Some" - Some manuscripts He
6:14 - "Baptist" - Greek baptizer; also verse 24
6:27 - "John's" - Greek his
6:37 - "denarii" - A denarius was a day's wage for a laborer
6:48 - "fourth watch of the night" - That is, between 3 A.M. and 6 A.M.

7:3 - "unless they wash" - Greek unless they wash with a fist, probably indicating a kind of ceremonial washing
7:4 - "unless they wash" - Greek unless they baptize; some manuscripts unless they purify themselves
7:4 - Some manuscripts omit and dining couches
7:11 - "given to God" - Or an offering
7:15 - Some manuscripts add verse 16: If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear
7:19 - "is expelled" - Greek goes out into the latrine
7:24 - Some manuscripts omit and Sidon
7:36 - "Jesus" - Greek he

8:10 - "Dalmanutha" - Some manuscripts Magadan, or Magdala
8:15 - "Herod" - Some manuscripts the Herodians
8:25 - "Jesus" - Greek he

9:3 - "no one" - Greek no cloth refiner
9:5 - "rabbi" - Rabbi means my teacher, or my master
9:7 - "my beloved Son" - Or my Son, my (or the) Beloved
9:24 - "cried out" - Some manuscripts add with tears
9:29 - "but prayer" - Some manuscripts add and fasting
9:38 - "in your name" - Some manuscripts add who does not follow us
9:42 - "to sin" - Greek to stumble; also verses 43, 45, 47
9:43 - "hell" - Greek Gehenna; also verse 47
9:43 - Some manuscripts add verses 44 and 46 (which are identical with verse 48)
9:49 - "salted with fire" - Some manuscripts add and every sacrifice will be salted with salt

10:7 - Some manuscripts omit and hold fast to his wife
10:24 - "how difficult it is" - Some manuscripts add for those who trust in riches
10:26 - "to him" - Some manuscripts to one another
10:43 - "servant" - Greek diakonos
10:44 - "slave" - Greek bondservant (doulos)

11:1 - "Jesus" - Greek he
11:19 - "they" - Some manuscripts he
11:24 - "have received" - Some manuscripts are receiving
11:25 - Some manuscripts add verse 26: But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father who is in heaven forgive your trespasse

12:2 - "servant" - Greek bondservant; also verse 4
12:10 - "cornerstone" - Greek the head of the corner
12:14 - "you are not... appearances" - Greek you do not look at people's faces
12:15 - "denarius" - A denarius was a day's wage for a laborer
12:19 - "the man" - Greek his brother
12:42 - "penny" - Greek two lepta, which make a kodrantes; a kodrantes (Latin quadrans) was a Roman copper coin worth about 1/64 of a denarius (which was a day's wage for a laborer)
